1941 Buick Roadmaster Convertible
In competition with the 1941 Packard 120 Convertible, which you see in this collection, and the 1941 Cadillac convertible which you also see in this collection, is this 1941 Buick Roadmaster Convertible.
The largest of the Buicks, it had a straight 8 overhead valve engine invented by Mr. Buick who eventually sold Buick to General Motors.
We bought this car to put into our western history museum in Lone Pine, California. This car is the same type car you see in the picture of Gene Autry jumping his horse Champion over.
Our good friend, Peggy Stewart, the top Republic Pictures female star in the 40's, 50's & 60's, was lying down in the car as Gene jumped Champion over the top.
