1953 Buick Roadmaster Convertible
Buick's finest had a fore-shortened nose in 1953 to emphasize the compact power of the new V8 under the hood. Roadmaster had chrome rear fender gravel shields between the rear wheelhouse and the bumper, in addition to the same sweepspear used on the Super.
Series callouts were found within the deck emblem and on the steering wheel hub. Power steering and power brakes were standard.
Color-keyed instrument panels with damascene pattered lower panels were typical during this period.
The selector quadrant above the wheel hub was for the optional Dynaflow automatic, now ordered by must Buick buyers. |
