1949 Cadillac Coupe de Ville
The Series Sixty-Two Coupe de Ville "hardtop convertible" was Cadillac’s new glamour leader for ’49. The 1949 General Motors "hardtop convertibles" were an all new design which departed completely from the 1948 cars.
The bodies of all three General Motors 1949 hardtops were exactly the same except for the fins on the Cadillac. The windows are all inter – changeable. Cadillac and Olds had V-8’s while the Buick continued its straight 8.
All three are milestone cars. We bought this car from a man who had owned the car since 1950. After spending two years to redo the car, the man called to say he had to have the car back for he had not been able to sleep for two years. He was satisfied when we told him he could drive the car when he visited Las Vegas.  |
