1957 Cadillac Eldorado

A more compact new ultra-luxury Cadillac bowed for ’57 as the Eldorado Brougham, a show car-inspired hardtop sedan stratospherically priced at $13,074.00. Only 400 were built, each at a cost of over $23,000.

The car was built to inspire sales of other Cadillacs, but after only 400 ‘57s were built and sold and only 304 in 1958 were sold, the car was discontinued.

At this same time a new Rolls Royce cost under $10,000.
