1953 Chevrolet Corvette

At $3,513.00, the ’53 Corvette offered modern lines but some oddly old-timey features like side curtains.

There were only 314 of these 1953s built. They were fiberglass and if you look closely, you will see the webbing beneath the paint.  The cars were very difficult to drive as the cockpit really fit no one.

This model car sold at Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction in January, 2004, for $210,600.
