1940 Ford Woodie Station Wagon
Like its brother sitting beside it, the ’40 Ford Woodie was immensely popular. While many ’40 Ford Coupes and some convertibles remain, there are very few Woodies.
We bought this car in Florida. It was a rust bucket and the wood was rotten. The metal body was rebuilt and a coach builder in Cincinnati built this solid birch body, which has 19 coats of boat lacquer on it.
Five years ago the value of a 40 Ford Woodie was between $30 and $35 thousand dollars. Today, with the renewed interest in Woodies, the value is somewhere between $75,000.00 and $85,000.00. |
