1946 Lincoln Continental Coupe V-12
There were less than 800 of these V-12 Lincoln Continental Coupes produced in 1946.
The car had a V-12 but it was the same old Ford flathead V-8 with 4 more cylinders added.
For a car that weighed 4,500 pounds, the 120 horsepower engine was totally inadequate. It also had a standard three-speed transmission with overdrive, as Ford had no automatic transmission to compete with GM’s hydramatic.
Although beautiful, the workmanship in the car was mediocre and the engineering very poor.
