1953 Lincoln Convertible

The most expensive series continued to be the Capri.  Except for the chrome rocker panels, it was difficult to tell them from Cosmopolitans.

The 1953 Lincoln was built for speed and its successors in 1954 ran away with all the trophies in the Pan America road race.

This car was not only fast, it was beautiful. It competed against the 1953 Cadillac Convertible but fell far short in sales, in that Cadillac continued to be the standard of the world.
