1950 Mercury Meteor Truck
Starting in April 1946, and running to March, 1968, Canadian truck buyers had a choice of the two nameplates on Ford trucks built in Canada.
To give Canadian Lincoln-Mercury dealers a broader range of cars that reached into the low-price market, they sold the Meteor, a Mercury sized Ford.
"Mercury" was the winged messenger god of Roman mythology who symbolized dependability, eloquence, skill and speed.
