1951 Oldsmobile 88 Holiday Hardtop

Oldsmobile’s senior 98's retained their basic 1950 styling for ’51. So did the smaller 88. The "cadet" sun visor on this DeLuxe Holiday hardtop was a popular period accessory.

Purchase price in ’51 was $2,882.00.  Once again Olds continued to build a small Olds "hardtop convertible" (the 88) as well as a large "hardtop convertible," the 98.

Only Olds and Buicks built both a small and large hardtop convertible.

Buick built the Roadmaster Super and Special Rivieras, Cadillac built one size, the Coupe DeVille, Chevrolet built one size the Bel Air and Pontiac built one size, the Catalina.
