1941 Packard 180 Limousine
Although Packard built a V-12 for some of its limousines and mammoth sized convertibles, this car has only an 8 cylinder engine in it.
Of the three sized 8 cylinder engines that Packard built, this car had the largest V-8.
Unfortunately for Packard, the design of this car in 1941 was less than beautiful. This same less than gorgeous design was used after the war when Packard began car production again.
All the other major car companies quickly designed new cars following the war but Packard stayed behind and never caught up. It finally went out of business.   |
