1953 Packard Convertible
Packard offered this 1953 Packard convertible and also a pricey low-volume ragtop, the $5,210.00 Caribbean. Some design cues came from Packard’s recent Pan American show cars. However the standard convertible model we own was less than exciting or inspiring.
Packard attempted to adopt an all new design in 1951 after continuing to use its pre-war design from 1946 through 1950.
Those post war years put Packard far behind the other major cars, Cadillac and Lincoln, which had modernized their designs.
Packard never did catch up and eventually went out of business. Â Â |
