1974 Stutz Blackhawk
The Blackhawk introduces a new concept in motorcar luxury and quality. It was built by hand, not by machines.
American hands produced the engine and automatic transmission. European hands created the body and coachwork.
Built on a GM chassis with a GM 455 cubic inch engine, it delivers 425 HP and has a GM TH400 transmission.
The Stutz comes with Australian lamb's wool floor covering, 24K gold plated bezels and mouldings, English burl dash, the finest European leather seats and dash, and 22 coats of individually hand rubbed lacquer paint (a six week process).
Less than 300 Stutz were built. The price approached $100,000.00.  |
